Dance Thread
« on: November 10, 2010, 12:30:22 PM »
Okay, I searched. All there is is the break dancer one by Ninjatic Silver started. But that is not specifically all dance.

So I really love electro dance/tecktonik and c-walking. But I generally love all dance.

Electro Dance: (Going to give a few examples. Okay I don't get why they dress like that but whatever.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omf-L1EzEEI

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZ5fx0fZh9o

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYOgEDS02VQ

Also apparently electro dance is different from tecktonik, not sure why.

Tecktonik: (I'm going to give a few examples.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXmqtywojCA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziytUFRHoqI

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkwVQxL1w7A

That last one isn't that great. Oh well.

C-Walk:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xe035Uxuf_M

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mueTXRoXwrE

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5exN8bC0_E

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aM-hOzoLIm4

Last two are girls.

Also a little something extra!

Rebolation. It's like a mix between c-walking and Melbourne shuffle.

The C walking is awesome, the Electro was a little weird, in my opinion.

Yeah it can be a little weird. I dunno I just love it all. :P

If you need music or anything, for let's say electro or hardstyle. Just ask I'll find some for ya.

SUPER MEGA AWESOME MEGA POST

MOAR:

Electro Dance:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vkVD_CnXTc

^ One of my favorite videos.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oqh7zwqAaDw

On that video, it's a announcement mostly but it has some footage of really good dancing. Especially the third guy. The fourth guy is doing jumpstyle.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L55w90tSjCs

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kuWCEfWK5E0

Texas has some amazing electro dancers.

Melbourne Shuffle:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oM_7meE_A7k

This was the first melbourne shuffle video I've ever seen. Pae and Sarah rock!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2t71Lsy_8HA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EH9OJ5Fcols
Hardstyle Repulblic is from Malaysia and are awesome. They got some great style for the melbourne shuffle.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUFGBE3eltk

Softstyle shuffle:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSGKA2vK7VY

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EE-LU4yoKWY

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGo6iTebNRU

Brisbane Stomp: (Basically going left and right and the running man and turning. Again, I'm not sure if there is more.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_zc8vVIlTs

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4eX1Fx23oQ

Rebolation/Free Step: (I basically believe these things are the same. Of course I could be wrong.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSQjk4YSDDs

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krjWXtjDhjE

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGVl0a-0F5s

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTE16pQEuZw

C-Walk: (There are different types. Crip, Clown and Crown. I'll post each.)

Crip Walking: Slow yet clean style of walking. This style focuses mainly on style. Moves might seem repetitive and pauses doubles as poses which are most often replacing transitions between moves.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Vn8gAkBcd8

Clown Walking: More fast paced and aggresive style of walking. This style focuses more in speed than style. Heeltoes are a regular move between moves and variations. The most popular style of walking.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vdo3nRBctLE

Crown Walking: The pace and rhythm of Cripwalking with the moves and variations of Clownwalking. More cleaner to look at than clownwalking. So basically, Cripwalking + Clownwalking = Crownwalking.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVoWW5KfCFA

Check out www.pimpmywalk.com (forums) for more. :) There is some great stuff there even if most people on there are asses.

DnB Step/X-outing: I don't know much about it. Though this video and song are awesome.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8HJz5kgCow

Jumpstyle:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4bX5LyC6vw

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICfOq5YXQ3s

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5vjyS7d-eo

That one is a melbourne shuffle vs. jumpstyle video. I personally don't care which is best I just love dance and movement.

Hardjump: (I believe it's just a harder jump than jumpstyle. Again I do not know for sure.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgkHoJjbmFE

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3PSzV64cc8

Liquid Dance:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGOc3YJ9nps

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBIfCQJi32U

Pop & Lock:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HkFK_wTss0

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAztfiaej-Y

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLDekf0nLEQ

Gliding:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtv-YWqZUbQ

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqPpszjl7RE

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1q6n_q5Kek

Breakdancing: (Breaking, b-boys, b-girls, etc.)

These are from Planet B-boy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmKHuq-IxjM

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeYzfazXUZ0

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpntYFfVoQU

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfq2Zwr0ABM

Krump:

I definitely say look on Melb Shuffle's Forum for music. But I think you need a 100 posts to access it.

Bboying is where my hearts at.

Though I have lately started to add tricking into it. In a way to me, certain trickers trick is such a way you could almost consider it a dance. I dunno. That's probably just my head trying to justify it. :p

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwjo3Oiy-oE

DISCLAIMER: If you are like me and you bboy and wanna add tricking into your bboying DO NOT DO IT WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE AN OPEN AREA.

Seriously, I've smacked a girl in the face before with a kick because she walked right across my path (and cut through the open circle people gave me and the other dudes that were breaking) as I was dancing at a club.
