Dear Andy: If you could erase one word from the ADD/PK/FR language, what would it be?

I'm always interested in what people do for a living. Do you just get sponsored for Parkour and live in a luxurious mansion with tons of sports cars and hot babes all day :-Sarcasm? Or do you actually have a steady job working at a restaurant or something along those lines?

Ha, well I haven't gotten to the luxurious mansions or tons of sports cars yet...  [get it? ;)]

I do work at a restaurant! And I love it. I serve and barback on weekends, and will be a bartender next summer. The restaurant is called Loxley's and has a Robin Hood theme. :)

Dear Andy: Do you play any video games?

Not habitually, though I do enjoy them. I like playing socially [with others], for the most part. Although, there tends to be a few marathons each summer when my best friend and I go all-out on a game, such as Lara Croft or Need for Speed. Good times.

Dear Andy: If you could erase one word from the ADD/PK/FR language, what would it be?

Efficiency. I would change all of its usage to ease.

Andy, are flips parkour?
 :-Sarcasm

Yes, flips CAN contribute to one's parkour training. Though flips alone do not denote parkour.

You had your display name set as your real name for a while there. Is that it?

Mr. Andy, while in my solitude after i move, what would you recommend I train most veraciously over anything else?

This depends on your goals, but here's what I'd do...

Physically: Balance, agility, coordination, touch. They're all correlated. You don't need anyone to teach or coach you in order to improve in these things. I can give you sweet ideas if you need them. :)

Mentally: Control. I don't mean controlling precision in your movement, I mean controlling your thoughts, motivations, habits, discouragements. Controlling your training. In other words, learning to beat the games that your mind plays with you. You have to do this in order to reach your goals. This extends beyond parkour training, too. If you can press onward when your mind tries to tell you that your body is too tired to continue its reverse QM ascent up a parking garage, you can apply that same mindset to a school project that is as boring as Hell, California, [with its lowly service station, beer tavern, and good supply of drinking water as the main features] or you can let it loose on a workday that seems to never end.

In essence, I want you to explore, play, learn, commit, conquer, continue, and above all, kick ass. Your own ass, that is...

:)

Dear Andy: Whenever I train, some dumb *** old person (no offense to all you nice old people I love you guys) comes over to yell at me for doing precisions on railings. Saying they don't want to be responsible for broken bones. I try to tell them I'm training but they just wont listen. What should I do?*

Where is this happening?

Dear Andy: deal or no deal?

Deal. It's not good to be greedy.

Glad to see someone got it. :)

I train for fun. Not a shallow "Wooo! That was fun!" kind of fun, but a real, genuine, natural fun. Maybe enjoyment is a better word. Parkour has become such a part of me that I feel most like myself when I'm training.

...That'd be me, because I went to Hempfield, Nick. I recognized that you were from the same 'Level 8' group that Andy told me about. I took your e-mail and put it into facebook, because I wasn't entirely sure whether it was you or Garret.

So what I want to say is: Andy, what is sphenopalatine ganglioneuralgia?

Also,
Andy, are flips parkour?

That was pretty strange.
