Questionnaire
« on: October 06, 2010, 02:54:27 AM »
This questionnaire is for an A-Level course and is required for my pass criteria. I would massively appreciate if you could take some time to answer my questions. Please can you try and keep them as simple as possible i.e. yes/no or short sentences. Thank you for your time.

1.   Do you think there is a place in the market for a free running specific camera?

2.   Gender?
Male
Female

3.   How long do you spend free running per week on average?

4.   What kind of age range should I be looking to aim a free running product at?

5.   Where would a camera be most easily placed?
A.   The chest area
B.   The Head (helmet mounted)
C.   The hand or arm
Answer:

6.   What kind of specs would you be looking at for a good quality camera for free running/parkour?

7.   What kind of cameras would you recommend for me to research (cameras that you have already used or believe would work well)?

8.   How much would you be willing to pay for a good quality durable camera?

9.   Are there any materials that you would recommend?

10.   Are there any specific specifications you would like included in the product i.e. HD capability?

Thank You for taking the time to answer my questions  [WTF]

1. possibly. there would have to be specifics though.
2.male
3.I do parkour by the way. I try to 3 times a week.
4.14-16
5. head area would be most realistic. but hand/arm would be best for me
6.Mostly, good quality. but specifically a good speed/quality ratio, so it's easy to take running shots. also if there was some way to stabilize the camera for nice shots as well.  Also I would most likely try to buy something like it if it had extremely wide lens, like fish eye, just not all.....weird.
7. I dont know much about sorry. but something along the idea of a flip (for a freerunning camera) might work.
8. eh....since I'm a kid and all no more than around $100
9.something durable....I've had my share of parkour camera fails.
10.HD capability would be great. even better would be a slo mo feature.

1. errmmm... not yet, parkour and free running are still sort of under the radar. In a few years this would probably be a more competitive item

2.Male

3. about 20-30hrs a week

4. The majority are between 16-24, but there are treceurs older and younger.

5. If I had to have a camera anywhere it would probably be on my chest, but it would have to be extremely slim and light (so it would not hinder ability)

6. great quality, light, durable, slim, easy to use.

7.Not very experianced w/ cameras just always use what i can afford... sorry

8. I probably wouldnt pay much, but I'm sure some of the more artistic treceurs would pay 300+ to expiriment w/ this sort of  camera

9. Try something light and durable.

10. Def. HD

Hope this helps :)
