I would be more worried about being involved with a group that cares about image and nickname as much or more than their training.

Agreed. What other requirements does this group have? Requiring a nickname is somewhat... meh.

Nickname is not required, they just like you having one. The Kansas City group is very well known, and have some very strict training requirements. Every Tuesday and Thursday morning is conditioning stuff such as long runs, weight lifting, etc, Saturdays are open gyms with real traceurs from the EU as your instructor, Sunday and Wednesday are group trainings. You are required to attend 1 open gym, 4 morning conditioning and 2 group trainings per month.

Parkour practitioners for now, beginning the transition into scene kids tomorrow!

Seriously though, names aren't all that important. You don't have to be a sheep, but it can get you mad street credz if you do :P

I will still keep my name on here, but the local group said that they would like me to come up with some sort of nickname, but I do not know what I should use.

I was just thinking the other day about how well PJs would work for PK.

probably the best thing you could wear, if you can get past your self-consicious meter.

Sweats and no tshirt.  Make sure the sweats  are a lil loose so they sag about two three inches.  This only works tho if you have a hair man chest or an eight pack.

I wear target sleep pants. Plain grey, plain black, and plan blue. Works perfect for me.

Haha I've never liked nicknames in the least. I guess it could be an expression of yourself, somewhat like tattoo, but I just don't see it. Even playing games (CS:S) with people I've never met, I prefer to call people by their real names. It just seems more personal and friendly to me. Nicknames... I just have no appreciation for them. However, in terms of online interactions, I never reveal my real name (at least my full name) until I develop some familiarity with the person.

So my suggestion... use your real name man. ;D

After reading the info that you've told us, I've put a lot of thought into this extremely important part of your parkour career. Here's what I've come up with...

"Collin."
