For a while now Omaha has had a pretty decent group going.  I've neglected posting anything up on APK, but here it is now:

Omaha Parkour is for all traceurs in the Omaha area who just want to connect and meetup for learning, conditioning, training, circuits, and runs.

The purpose of parkour is to overcome obstacles in ones own path as fast and effectively as possible. Emphasizing freedom of movement and creativity, it is seen as an art, discipline, and philosophy; way of life.

If you are new to the discipline or just have an interest feel free to join and check out some of the links below. Youtube is a great resource, whether your looking to study form and flow or to find tips, training exercises, inspiration, and motivation.

Parkour/Freerunning requires a lot of discipline, and it also requires you to be safe and controlled; not fearing heights, but respecting them; understanding where your limits lie and where you can push them.  Bottom line, be safe, and don't try anything unless you are 110% confident in your ability.

As of this week we have 3 weekly meetups:
Wednesday Workouts in downtown Omaha 5:00-7:00 (physical and mental conditioning)
Premier Gymnastics open gyms on Fridays 7:00-8:30 (to practice new movements in safe environment)
Downtown Meetups every Saturday 1:00-4:00 (for every level, just a relaxed fun training session)
