Until then...I train.
« on: August 04, 2010, 07:45:50 AM »
Greetings from another new member to the APK legions!

Just wanted to say thank you, to all the members of APK, who's information has been of immeasurable value. Your level of fraternity and dedication to Parkour is my motivation.

A little about me is probably in order: Currently 32 years old, I spent the last 5-6 years walking the straight line. Just another worker, stuck in the ever more suffocating mundane day to day routine. Then as I was browsing some videos on YouTube, I came across some clips of David Belle, 3Run, and ParkourGenerations. Amazed would be a good way to put it. I had seen District 13, but never really thought that this was an actual discipline, used in everyday life...and that there were so many people who participated, young and old alike. And so I began.

Some day I may call myself a traceur...when there are no obsticles left in my path, and nothing left to learn. Until then...I train.

Awesome, and welcome!
Aside from that, from what I've heard, don't go on the 3run forums...
Fecteau, you are the first person I will turn to when I break up with Micah, haha
;)
Fect, you get a gold star for the day.

Good information to know. From what I've seen of their videos they're amazingly talented, but seem to to lean to the more commercial application of Parkour/Freerunning (ads, movies, ect).
