Will a Diet/WO Routine Affect Me?

I'm 5'4" and 120lbs, (one dude said I was dense as f**k) 13yrs old.

Question: Will a change in diet, (I.E; increased protein, lowered carbohydrates, eating more, etc) and increase of non-cardiovascular conditioning help add muscle, or will it not matter at my age?

Lift heavy weights, and eat more. More protein is definitely good.

Weight and muscle mass are of course affected by diet at ALL ages.
