ok so i have pain in my knee right where the tendon connects the the knee cap to the leg. what kind of injury is that and what should i do about it? it only hurts when i train

Thanks for the resources. Tweaked my ankle out yesterday (first day of training down here in Florida) and I used the above mentioned icing method with great results.  ::) Wasn't doing anything beyond my skill level though, I wonder if the different environmental variables had anything to do with it... I'll blame it on this humidity ha.
