AACC Weekly Jams
« on: March 21, 2010, 12:33:10 PM »
Updated 4/5/2010:

Dates have been decided and to allow everyone to ease back into the summer and finish classes we will be holding our weekly session as followed

Monday at 6pm - ??, whenever you need to or want to leave

We will be rotating between AACC and Glen Burnie High School just to keep things cool with public safety at AACC. I'm also open to recommendations for each week, going somewhere new is always fun.

Most of our days will consist of:

- Starting with a warm-up and a little stretching
- Relax, work on whatever you want
- Mini-Gauntlets probably every other week
- End with stretching

Given this is just a small idea of how we usually go about training (not including some hidden conditioning). This is open to anyone who wants to come out, no experience with parkour or conditioning all the way to regulars. Don't be afraid if you are just starting.

My phone number is four four three - six one eight - four five one zero (guess they don't allow you to freely post it anymore) feel free to call with any questions or to check what the deal is for this weeks session. If I don't pick up leave a message, feel free to text as well.

Updated 4/18/2010:

Monday 4/19 at 6 pm is still on at AACC. See you there

---------------------------------------------------------
Meeting in the courtyard between the Humanities and DRGN building. There will be lots of picnic tables in the area. If you are not familiar with those buildings here is a map of AACC.

Well thats why I asked. I wanted to know your schedule and we can plan accordingly.

I could be up for Saturday. Post back and let me know when you will be there if at all.

Alright I'm pretty sure I'll be able to make it. Lets say.. meet in the courtyard? That seems to be our usual warm up spot.

Just checked out a map. Is that between Dragun and the Humanities building? I've been to AACC before, but not for a jam or anything. BTW, do we have a backup plan for if we get kicked out?

@trophiend: Looks like 1:00 in the courtyard.

Yup, just look for lots of picnic tables. And as for a backup plan, yeah there are a couple options in case we get kicked out, which is.. probably going to happen. They are sneaky now, even have bikes haha. Sorry for the late response. And as for the backup plan, I suppose we would probably do glen burnie high school, we don't usually get disturbed there or we could do I guess Ft. Smallwood park? I'm not sure if we want to go there though. Its a cool place to mess around at but there is usually a good amount of parents and small children. I wouldn't want the parents getting mad at us or even worse the kids trying to imitate us.

1 pm in the courtyard it is. backup is GBHS

My ankle is still recovering from an awesome sprain but I should still be attending. Nice to get out and just move around a little =D

So back on the original weekly jam topic. I was thinking we could do Mondays and Wednesday's maybe 6pm - 8pm/??

Any day is good for me besides Thursday nights. Let me know what you think.

Also, to the Salisbury guys. Thanks for coming out, it was great to meet you and you guys were awesome. It was inspiring how much you guys supported each other. I hope we meet again soon.

I deleted my posts to undo any thread hijacking.

Our pleasure. Thanks for the props. I'm pretty impressed with Connor, Nick, and Ryan myself. They made hella progress for it only being their FIRST day doing ANYTHING parkour specific. Looks like our community has a few more regulars. Thank you so much for all your help with everything and for showing us around.

Oh my god your alive. Call me so we can jam.

And I was thinking Tuesdays as well nick92. I want it to be later in the day so its not prime time for classes. Less of a chance to get kicked out.
