Bralow's training journal
« on: December 13, 2007, 06:47:54 PM »
hey i have been doing parkour for about a month. i was very active in high school. but after i graduated i fell off and got lazy. im going to school for animation. right now my goals for this time next month are:
75 pushups in 1 minute
75 situps in 1 minute
learn how to hold a handstand.
increase my overall flexibilty
gain one foot in percision.
gain more airtime and distance in my kong vaults

thats all i can think for my goals right now. i will be adding more as i continue to increase my skill

14-dec-2007

i took off this day and rested

15-dec-2007

my friends b-day was this day so i spent most of my day relaxing with my friends

16-dec-2007

I did
25 pushups
25 situps
25 squats
25 overhead squats

yeah i didnt get to do as much as i wanted to i was tired from shoveling so much snow.

17-dec-2007

calf and shin rasises 25X3 of each
pushups 25X2
situps 25X2
squats 25X2
overheadsquats 25X2
samson stretch 25X2
leg raises 10X2
10 second handstand against a wall

ok i liked the way this workout felt so this is what i am going to do for the rest of this week. i hoping for at least two days out of this week to find some place to train and do parkour but with so much snow outside it is going to be hard to find a place. so it looks like i am only going to be conditioning.

oh and today my diet was no breakfast
oatmeal and a glass of water for lunch.
alfredo pasta and fried porkchops with a glass of water for dinner
i know i need to work on my diet but my mom makes good food and its HARD to give up but i will try to slowly cut down on my greasy food. i have been doing good by not drinking anything sweet and only drinking water though. well i think i am going to get some rest so i will update my progress tomorrow

ok this was my workout for today
calf and shin rasises 25X3 of each
pushups 25X2
situps 25X2
squats 25X2
overheadsquats 25X2
samson stretch 25X2
leg raises 10X2

my diet once again i didnt have breakfast again but for lunch i had some boiled egg-nodles with some steak pepper seasoning which was really good.  but for dinner i had an italian beef. and somewhere between lunch and dinner i ate some fried cubed steak. yes i know i not eating healthy but its hard to give up all the good food at one time. but im still only drinking water so i am making some progress. i am giving up all sasuages and hot dogs and things like that though and it is very very hard for me to give up hot links but i have done good so far. so yeah right now as far as my diet is concerned i only drink water and no sausages, hot dogs, or hot links.

ok i havent posted up on here in awhile. i have been lazy i think since my last post i worked out maybe three days out of 2 week so my new years resolution is to stop being so lazy, continue to improve my diet, and to post my progress up on here everyday. so this was my work out today

31-dec-2007
15X3 Pushups
25X3 Situps
25X3 Squats
25X3 Overhead squats

this was really just to warm my body up tomorrow i will be back to my old workout but instead of 2X everything it will be 3X everything and tomorrow i plan on working on my handstands. can i get some ideas about how i could get my wrist stronger.

i will also try to get my friends camera so i can record myself to see if i am doing things wrong when i do parkour. i do my workouts in front of a mirror to make sure my form is good but when i pk i have no way of knowing.  but its snowing again in chicago so it will be awhile still before i can pk

my diet today wasnt a really that good i had sastuffing w/ cranberry uce, baked pork roast, black eyed peas and i only drank water. that was for dinner.( hey its the holidays) i want to try eating three times a day but i dont be that hungry.

well its 1 A.M so im going to sleep bye

ohh and as far as my goals go here they are:

Stop Watching TV
Be Able To Do 75 Pushups With out Resting
Be Able To Do 20 Pullups without resting
be able to do 150 situps without resting
be able to do 150 squats without resting
bbe able to do a backflip
be able to land split footed
be able to kong while running
work out eveyday
be ambidextrous (able to the same move on my left as effective as i can do them on my right)
be able to do a handstand
be able to do one arm pushup
be able to do a handstand pushup

when i try to land split footed now i feel like i slow down. and when i kong while running i stop and jump off with both feet instead of one. these are what i can think of now but there will be more goals updated on here. i had some goals that i set for myself before that i had completed but i didnt want to put them up here. i want to see alot of red and see how much of all that i can turn green. wish me luck
