Protein Cookies
« on: January 29, 2010, 07:41:51 PM »
How do these no-bake cookies sound as a source of protein? I'm fine with shakes but if anyone doesn't want the liquid, what about these?

1.0 Cups Old-Fashioned Oatmeal [raw]
4 heaping Tbsp. Omega-3 Peanut Butter
2 Scoops protein powder chocolate
1/4 Cup Water or Skim Milk to allow for mixing

Well, actually it wasn't mine. I thought it would work pretty well for people who dislike taking shakes and feel they need to chew some of their protein. It actually came from Dr. Lonnie Lowery.

They look like arse, but are a good snack, especially for people trying to gain weight.

Why not whole milk?

Why not whole milk?

You could put that in instead but the recipe said skim.

I just tryed these and they are super delicious!!

The approximate nutritional values are as follows:
kcal: 212
Protein: 13g
Carbs: 18g (3g fiber)
Fat: 11g
These are based on dividing the batch into four cookies.

Try not to eat the whole batch in one sitting. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.

If you use only whey protein, add a little less water to it. A whey/casein blend should be fine.
