A Hide code/function
« on: January 04, 2010, 08:03:51 AM »
We use this on Texas Parkour.

Many of us share our phone numbers to people on the forums, I trust every traceur on here, but some "Bad" people might visit the site and not sign up. Thus, they are guests. Here is my proposition...

A new BBC tag [hide] [/hide]. Anything you put in those tags will be hidden from non-registered viewers. So it can help the security of our numbers, address', etc...

Thoughts?
Have you forgotten about the days when we just wanted to rock cause we like it that way?

Why don't they just create an account and get access?

well thats a problem, but most bad guys are bots, and bots can be busted by a simple captcha program at registration to provide proof of registrant being a human.

i like this idea, btw.

Do we not already have one? I'm a little surprised by this. It's not a bad idea, but nothing protects like good old smarts. I wonder if we have an article about this... I should go check...
