haha ground Kongs look like fun!

I can see how they would be a good training excercize.

seeing as how a lot of Parkour is muscle memory. I can see how they would be useful.

also to MrShaun some advice that has been passed to me.

I would take some time and make sure you are 150% comfortable with your rolls jumps and lands.

what I would recommend doing is finding an open space on some carpet and practice your rolls OVER and OVER.

what I even did was I took two pieces of tape at opposite sides of the living room and practiced rolling to the tape.

also. Make sure you are doing plenty of conditioning. If you dont, you could seriously end up injured. There is a lot of great information on the fitness board.

I read somewhere on these forums, and its something I have been sticking to pretty religiously.

For every hour you train there should be at LEAST one hour of conditioning to match it.

my favorite movement would have to be the cat balance. For vaults I would either have to say the kash or diving kong.

First Parkour Movement: Speed vault
Favorite Parkour Movement: Kong, because you can combo it into anything; handstand, another kong, speed, gainer, cat, precision, ect.
First Freerunning Movement: Front Flip
Favorite Freerunning Movement: Wall Inward Front, because it feels absolutly amazing and you get that feeling in your stomach after you do it like, "Damn! I'm awesome!!!"

You won't be doing them for awhile if you're just getting started.

No single move is ever my favorite... I pretty much need to combine things to make it my favorite... give it some flow.

Example (warning: long and possible uninteresting explanation):
Last night I was practicing smoothly getting on a ledge and doing a Webster off on the same side I started. So I stand on the left side of a balance beam, swing my outside (left) leg up. The inside (right) leg follows, turning me to the side I started from, and without touching my right leg to the beam, I Webster off. It it took a while to get it right just keeping my balance while stepping, lifting myself, and rotating (ccw), but when done well, it's really cool and a lot of fun. I feel like I could use the rotation as well to make it a webster full sort of thing.

when i say i have great jumping skills i mean my vertical is ridiculous. Unlike everyone else in this (with the exception of a few that may fall into this catagory) most of my conditioning came from basketball wearing weighted vest and ankle weights.

For future referance wieght vest are bad for your back, a wieghted belt or ankle weights are the way to go.

Ankle weights are terrible for your leg joints.

I <3 climbups for some reason.
Ten pushups, twenty crunches, twenty squats.
^My version of the ten pushups club.
