Their reluctance to define the terms is what lead to all the disputes in the first place. "It's all movement, why can't we just be friends" is not a point, it's a cop-out.

There are people training for efficiency and there are people training for style. They're all running, jumping and vaulting, most traceurs free run sometimes and most free runners do parkour (use their skills to get somewhere faster) every once in a while. But the two goals are fundamentally different and I'm tired of being asked to do flips after telling someone I do parkour.

Everyone who feels like "it doesn't matter" should simply stay the f#ck out of the discussion to prove how little they care and leave it to those who do care.
