I'm going to get a million billion smites for this, but I think I can honestly say that he is as good if not slightly better than David Belle. The way that guy just moves, I mean c'mon people!

I'm sure David Belle doesn't train in a gymnasium though. Most of his stunts were in a gym... and he's an olympic tumbler, but he's got mad skills none the less, that speed to b-twist vault thing is sick

OMFG I know the meaning of life...

and by life, I mean I found a use for the reverse kong! 1:20-1:22!

In Lexicon on APK, there is a thread about the Reverse Kong and everyone was like NO WAI TIS GAI! And I was being supportive and saying, hey it can have a use...

Well Mr. Walter has provéd just that!

As others have stated this is Damien Walters incredible 2009 Showreel.  Mr. Walters video includes tricking, freerunning, gymnastics and stunts with moving vehicles, but nothing that I would call martial arts.  There are some parts where he has a partner toss him to gain momentum for a trick, but nothing that resembles functional combative movement.

IMO, the best examples of combining parkour and martial arts are found in B13.  Particularly, this clip.

This video show David Belle training in a gym quite a bit, as well as doing 360 movements and flips.  In this video he also hits the punching bag, throws some tricks, and takes it out to the forest.  All of this underscores to me the value of variety in training.

Wow, thanks guys!  Looking for all those videos that I hadn't seen in awhile was a blast, hope y'all like 'em too!

It's just two totally different things like comparing apples to oranges.  David couldn't do half of the stuff damien could and damien can't do half the stuff david has.

mr walters aint got shit on belle.

belle is an animal, his focus is covering terrain much like a cat would. he isnt out to do tricks, he is out to move. to be able to be freed from the restraints society puts on all of us. belle trains so that nothing can stop him, hard surfaces and soft surfaces hold no difference. the world is made up of obstacles that he trains to be able to overcome, to overcome them all.

walters focus' on wowing people with flips and overcoming the fear of flipping. two VERY different things, and david most definitely has the ability to do all the same stuff. id put money on the fact that belle with a few months of practice could do quite a bit of what walters did, especially in a gym.

but again, apples and oranges.


my mind is constantly moving, one day my body will be strong enough to keep up.
