Parkour Comic Pencils
« on: April 01, 2009, 07:58:47 PM »
For my Sequential Art class we had to script and pencil a 3 page story. I wanted to do something with architecture and cityscapes because I’ve been drawing mountains, forests, and barbarians all year (not that that’s a bad thing, I just need to show that I can do more than just that). So I wrote a 3 page parkour chase scene. Really basic plot, but it’s visually fun and I think it’s about the right amount of story for 3 pages. Hope you like em.

(It seems the forum messes with the image quality, click on them for the higher quality version.)

This is amazing.  Usually when people post things like this on here they are pretty decent but there are some weird things going on proportionally.  These are fantastic though.  Very professional looking.  I was always good at drawing, however I would do very detailed/lifelike ones that would take me hours and hours.  I remember spending 8 hours on one and only eating once I had finished.  I could never be able to do something like this though.  Working at a reasonable speed, or doing an kind of comic book type sketches.  So yes, I too am interested.  How long did this take?

Thanks by the way.  This was refreshing.

ha, nice. Nah, I used to draw comics. My brother and I had a exhibition at an art gallery and all when I was like 18.

Thanks for all the comments!

are you going to ink and color it?
My friend Andy is going to ink and color it for the assignment, but I was thinking of doing it myself as well.

Each page took a total of about 7-8 hours.
