Rough hands?
« on: June 08, 2006, 03:52:45 PM »
Simple question:

Does hanging on walls, vaulting, etc. cause your hands to become harder and tougher if they're soft?  I ask this cuz my hands are uber soft.

My hands are extremely soft, too.  Callouses will toughen up your skin and make them all white and nasty for awhile... and if you keep going at it, they'll go back to normal and being pink and soft again BUT the difference is that the callouses will still be there.  It's kinda weird.  It's not as soft as before, but it's still soft.  Tough enough to endure a lot, though.

Just get your hands dury and a little scratched up like when you skidd on cement and scratch em. It toughens em up fast. Which you will get anyways if you practice on brick structures.

i thought my hands were tough until i started parkour.
my thumbs cracked, my hands were cut and bleeding.
at one point blood quirted out from under my thumbnail.

kinda like it though..
