Dips are like a completely different movement than bench press...

I would think so just because it's a body weight exercise and you can apply it better to parkour.

They are actually not that different.  They target pretty much the exact same muscle groups except in a little bit different proportions.  Both of them can target different groups differently depending on how good your technique is.  Most people don't even bench right.
