Guys at primal fitness
« on: February 11, 2009, 06:28:07 PM »
I'm finally being REALLY smart about it and looking into a physical therapist for the tendinitis (I'm fairly certain it isn't tendinosis). In a perfect world, I would do this with a traceur physical therapist (to save a whole lot of time answering questions and giving potentially misleading explanation). I go to school in NE D.C., so I thought 'hey, what about the trainers at primal fitness?'

My question: Are any of the trainers at primal fitness certified (qualified, idk) in physical therapy? I'll probably have more questions, but for now that's the only one

i dont think we have a therapist at primal, but feel free to e-mail mark. or call the gym 202 635 1941.
I like to touch different kinds of surface textures.
Parkour lets me do that without feeling weird.

Steve Low isn't a trainer there but he works at a PT clinic part time, i believe.  You may want to send him a PM and see where he does PT - he implies that the people there are good.

I'm guessing that Steve is SOMEWHERE near primal fitness? like, in the tri-state area  :P
Otherwise it wouldn't have made much sense to mention him

Also, if I call (which I plan to), who can I expect to answer? It would be pretty dandy to be able to introduce myself as Mathew C with no explanation.

No one here is a certified PT, but everyone has some good knowledge. Definitely hit up Steve, he's in pretty often. It depends and when you call but it's likely either skipper, jesse, or myself will answer, possibly one of the cross-fit trainers or other random people.
