Can't Seem To Resist
« on: January 20, 2009, 02:12:55 PM »
It's not exactly an eating disorder, but it's definitely becoming a problem.
Every day when I get home from school, I am full from lunch. But after doing homework, I just have the craving to taste. I'm not hungry, I just want to sit and have a taste and relax a bit. It's so hard to sit there, the refrigerator seems to be pulling me in!

And no, gum doesn't work. I used it so much my dad stopped buying it. (Ha)

Your body is trying to tell you something and you have no idea what its saying.

You need to fix your diet and better understand your cravings.

Read my article for Eating Right -- that will be a first step.

Happens to me too sometimes. Try drinking some water. Every now and then I forage around in the kitchen eating everything and nothing seems to help. Then I get a drink and realize I was just thirsty and for whatever reason misinterpreted that as hungry. But I guess that falls under what Chris said about your body saying something you don't understand.

I had the same problem. I started drinking protien shakes before soccer/weight lifting after school and the cravings dimmed down.
When I exercise I'm not as hungry.
But like ryan said: water. Drink a bunch to fill yourself up.
If taste is your problem, there are plenty of healthy and tasty things to eat. try looking here: http://www.americanparkour.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,159/topic,4361.0/
