What shoes are you rockin'?

I was just wondering what everyone around here in the great michigan area was sporting.

also a pros and cons thing would be good. Kinda like a heads up to the others.

I'll start... First of all if you haven't heard i have never really been a very "fit" workout kinda guy. These are only my second pair of running shoes ever. So i had no clue what to get. All i was told to get was a okay pair of running shoes.

Well I wear the K-Swiss Ariake. They're pretty good shoes, comfortable, flexible and grippy... But I've found they don't have the best durability, mine are starting to fall apart. (the bottom rubber is coming of of the shoe and stuff like that) Other than that I love them. I wear boots in the winter though. :P Got some trail boots right now.

I've got to say I really do like them. There is only one thing I don't like about them. Which may not be a big deal. But, after you break them in they tend to squeak sometimes. Otherwise I am pretty happy with them.

I rock my raggedy Air Force 1's, lol, there all torn up, and grip is worn out, but, my family is not really "made of money", so I have to make due with what I have I guess.

i rock newbalances and jordans sometimes fillas but newbalances work better for me

Kanadia TR's -   I love'em (besides my tabi's) I really do feel that had traceurs in mind when designing them.  ( and seeing how Im a shoe designer, Im pretty sure of it) ;D

I'm in Nike tuned air, they are the gray/red ones with on shoestrings the ones 50 cent was running in on his in the club vid back in the day on the treadmill.

Currently I have the K-Swiss Classics, but those are my father's, they don't fit that well (his feet are friggen tiny!) and they're not the best for running in I think...I'm looking at a pair of Ariakes but they're a bit expensive...I'm trying though :D

I'm actually rocking 3. K-swiss ariake lite mesh, a shoe produced by Riddle (yes, the football helmet company), it has great grip, but with absolutly no shock absorption (That's why I love it), and this pair of shoes from china made by a company called Li-Ning, ok grip, really durable for a mesh shoe, and really light, around 12 ounces.

Barefeet first and foremost.


But when I have to, I rock the feiyues. I used to be an ariake man, but the blocky feel and unnecessary overload of cushioning basically deters me now. I also feel they aren't balance/stabilized and I have uneven pressures, because my knees always feel shitty when I wear them now.

But I definitely miss the grip on them. If I could some how transfer the grip of the ariakes into my feiyues, I'd have the perfect shoe. *daydreams*

My classics are fitting better now, wearing them everyday has stretched them to a comfortable point, but  still need a decent pair of running shoes, so, any good suggestions? I'm probably going to get a pair of Ariake's for graduation, so I can't wait ^^

check out five ten's Daescents. or their free runners, they are kinda costy but are designed with stealth rubber, its hard to explain stealth rubber, so just check it out yourself.

I've never tried 5-10s, but as far as ariakes go....
The grip was godlike, and I loved them for the longest time. They also felt so comfortable.
But as I gained more experience I learned they're just detrimental, like any shoe.

Right now I use the feiyues because they're close to being barefoot without actually being barefoot. I suggest barefoot training to everyone also, but that's just my $0.02
