Hi I just Started
« on: December 15, 2008, 05:33:57 PM »
Hey I just recently saw a video of parkour on youtube and immediately thought that I had to do this.  So far I've just started working on rolls on carpet and hope to next work on some rolls off of jumps.  So I just wanted to say hey and tips are appreciated. ;D

Same here man ;D
just started last thursday, are you doing the APK warmup?

This is how I learned to roll, Demon has great tutorials under the safety section.

and here is the whole " Hey I'm new, how do I start out" thing.

You don't NEED the tutorial DVD, just do what you can now, and click the orange fonted words for further explanation, and do tha APK Warmup, it really helps.

Any questions, just ask, I'm right here learning along with ya  ;)

I'll like to start out and say that one of the most important thing to parkour is condition! I know many people don't condition and end up with injuries soon into their training... Also safety is the #1 thing to keep in mind. If something doesn't feel right, it probably isn't...(to an extent of course) other than that..

Welcome to APK! ;D
