Nate Evans 08
« on: December 09, 2008, 08:48:10 PM »
So a while back I met a kid named Nathan Evans. Apparently the day we met was his first day free running. He’s just  full of talent, so here is his video of his 3 month progression.

PS: there was some error in the editing so it really ends at 5:19 or so

He's definitely pretty smooth in his acrobatics, but it looks like his landings and rolls need work.

You could also work on the fluidity between your movement.  You do alot of what I call "stutter steps" leading up into your moves.  almost like you're hesitating.  you could try practicing doing chains of moves using as little steps as possible, using long gliding strides.  This will make all of your stuff look and feel a ton smoother and more cool.

Wow, I can't get over how beautiful wherever that video takes place in is. The mountains behind him when hes jumping the benches  :o
He is a very quick learner. But I agree that like me, his rolls could use some practice. Basics, basics, basics, eh?

pretty good stuff.  hes alot like me when i started :P
critiques:
take fewer big drops (anything over your head is big)
work on your landings
work on your climbups
loose the nasty habit of using your knee instead of a top out
work on your footing.

but for only three month you are pretty good! just alittle reckless  but you'll get over that soon enough.
