Nice. Keep at it. I have some mnemonics that REALLY helped me. I recommend once you get to the bottom layer (sides and face), make some of your own. I can try to dig mine up if you want to use those (but you really should make your own. Invent some sort of system to match turns (both which face and which way) with words).

My best time is 1:18, my average is 1:50. Both using the basic layered method.

Hahaha I use those methods as well to solve mine. Best time is around 1:15, can't remember the exact time.

My best is something like 00:49 from more than a year ago.  I hardly ever pick one up anymore, but recently I wouldn't say I'm capable of solving it in less than 2:30...

Sometimes the stickers end up getting stuck together, or I drop one or two. That really hurts my time.

YAY!!! I did it three times with the help of a few of those algorithms. Now all I have to do is memorize them and their uses.

haha! Cubists!

2x2: average 7 seconds
3x3: average 20 seconds
3x3 One handed: average 34 seconds
4x4: average 2min:20 seconds
Pyraminx: average 11 seconds
2x2 blindfolded: average 40 seconds including memorization
3x3 blindfolded: 6 minutes with memorization.

Here's the best tutorial:

All you need is the sexy moves!

Edit: Now, I would like to trade all of these useless cubing skills for some parkour skills.  ;)

You shouldn't try to do multiple experiments to calculate linear vertical acceleration over large distances.

Perhaps not. Cubists aren't all nerds.  ;)
