You should go to a gym and actually learn to flip correctly before doing something like that. This video showed exactly why parkour/freerunning gets a bad name.

And as for the "More flips to come" at the end. Please no more. This is what gyms are for.

I'm a little disappointed. I was hoping I was going to get to see a tree do a flip.

Laurie, you truly are the queen of puns.  +1 for the witty remark.  Also, tabler, you might want to consider learning a flip before attempting a flip.  Things tend to work out better that way.

If you cant land a flip 6 feet off of the ground from a tree, how can you land a flip off of a 6 inch mat?

Posting a video like this on a parkour forum will likely give you a bad reputation.  I suggest you learn proper flipping form in a gym where you can get assistance by more experienced people.  That way the next time you post a video it won't be a complete waste of time for the viewers. Thanks.

Also, tabler, you might want to consider learning a flip before attempting a flip.  Things tend to work out better that way.

But can you really learn a flip without attempting it first?

Something you need to realize is that on this board, there's a significant difference between 'flipping' and flipping properly.

If you ask any one of these guys what the thing that annoys them more than anything else in the world is.. they'd probably say: "Hmm. Probably those kids who think they are doing parkour but are actually being reckless and setting a bad example, and are eventually going to get themselves hurt."

Your video was exactly that.

So unless your next video is a perfect gymnastic frontflip, don't bother. Please.
