Occupations?
« on: March 27, 2006, 06:07:29 PM »
Just wondering on what you guys do for a living.  Or what you plan on doing, since most of us here are teenagers.

I'm a struggling writer and in school to be a teacher (day job).  I have a few stories submitted to a number of literary magazines, so maybe in a few months, I can change that "struggling writer" to "professional writer."

im planning to be an electrical engineer or computer specialist or mechanical engineer or car designer
and I'm a pretty damn good writer so i have that to fall back on or i could always be a parkour master and tour the world teaching young parkour grasshopper the way of the parkour master
but maybe not
and I'm really good at graphic design so i could do ads for billboards or magazines

Tinnmann, you're a damn good writer. Too damn good for any form of punctuation!

:P

Going into Law Enforcement, there are loads of forks in the road, but right now I'm hoping to eventually be involved with the ATF or SS.

I am currently a production manager at a tv station, and am planning on going back to school in the fall for Computer Sciences.  As for the future im not sure, there are so many things that interest me, but right now a tattoo artist and piercer is realling appealing to me.

i Swear to god, when you said ATF i thought you meant Aqua Teen Hunger Force... i like to add h's to places where they have no buisness being.

For me, I just don't want to work in an office, i have seen office space way too many times

i agree about a cubicle type job....i have also seen office space too many times.

i'm thinking somewhere math/science related (i'll have 7 science credits when i get out of high school, ap credits in bio, chem and physics)  something engineering/research related probably.

i do kinda want to be a ski patroller, but i don't want to be that broke, you can only eat ramen noodles so many ways.

this summer i'm gonna work for my dad in moab for awhile, and next winter i'm hoping to get a job as a ski tech at a local ski shop.  (current dream job...drools..)

Currently I work as a student tech. at my school, im going to college to study computer network systems next school year.....i think, but I also co-own a catering/pizza business, so i think it would be cool to pursue a occupation in the culinary arts.
