Group shot of the 2015 North American Women’s Parkour Gathering in Seattle by Anya Chibis

Since 2010, the North American Women’s Parkour Gathering has brought practitioners together from across the globe to share their voices and their movement with one another. From teaching workshops and sessions to designing the shirts and posters, it is an event conceived, organized, and executed by women within the community every step of the way.

This year, the DC Area Women’s Parkour community is thrilled to be hosting this gathering in the capital at the end of the month from July 26-28.

We’ll be kicking off the event with some movement games and BBQ fun at APK Friday night and then jumping into the weekend at one of our favorite parks, Gateway Park, Saturday morning.

You can expect workshops, breakout training sessions, and a picnic-style dinner on the National Mall on Saturday. During dinner, our very own DC Area Women’s Parkour Meetup leaders will be leading a discussion on growing a women’s community!

Sunday is a co-ed training day so we hope all of our awesome community members will join us for a community breakfast at Meridian Hill Park followed by a group warm-up, more awesome workshops in the morning, and open training at some dope nearby spots in the afternoon.

We are so excited to jump, play, learn, and train together. Hope to see you there!
