This is Sam Deluca, one of Tribe Member Jimmy Davidson's buddies. He just finished his 365 on Jan 1st. Check out his story below.
It's done. It's all over. Three hundred and sixty five (sixty six because of the leap year, actually) days of training. It's surreal, really. The amount of accomplishment I feel is unrivaled. A whole year has gone by and I have everything to show for it. Completing 365 has been one of the most important moments in my life, and it's something that will stick with me forever. Parkour is just one of those strange things in life. The physical aspects, the mental aspects, and the community are just so different from anything else I've ever seen. Aside from being more physically fit and mentally aware, I've met so many wonderful people, and I've had such a great time with the people that I already know.
I feel like 365 represents something that is a bit less inherent than it seems. It represents the concept of complete and total self-betterment. And that seems really obvious and silly to point out, but isn't that what life's about? Continuously and gradually changing and over coming, striving for a better tomorrow, and at the end of the day you can say, "I am better." I'd hate to say what others have said before me, but it rings true every time; anything is possible. And that's what 365 is all about.
