(B)East Coast Jam a massive success!

(B)East Coast just finished and we haven't even sorted the photos yet! The short story is this: tons of people descended on DC and had a blast. Saturday we went to Gateway Park at Rosslyn where Travis lead a brutal conditioning session. People worked on all kinds of training, parkour, freerunning and tricking all over the place. Our sponsor Honest Tea was handing out drinks and brought more for the cookout later. We moved over to Meridian Hill Park where we were asked to leave for not having a permit. My explanation that I had made a legitimate effort (25 phone calls) to get a permit wasn't going to sway the authorities. We took the obstacle in stride and headed over to Cardoza High School where we picked up a solid 8 bags of trash and a massive shredded tarp, then sessions the place like crazy. At the end of Cardoza we broke out the Waboba Street Balls and had a huge game of catch turned dodge-ball turned throwing field goals form the 45 where Cody Robinson totally killed it. Someone else got it too but I forgot who :) From there we headed to Primal Fitness where Matt Peveley cooked up the APK provided burgers and dogs for everyone. Around 8 Skipper's (B)East Coast Film Festival Kicked off - there were some amazing entries - winners to be announced soon. Skipper really brought it - a 16 foot screen and professional grade projector, streaming live from the event and the videos. We jammed and trained at Primal until about 11:30 and called it a night.

Sunday we headed to Great Falls National Park in Virginia. Great Falls is an amazing place to train with huge cliffs and miles of rock outcroppings along a set of rapids that verge on raging. There was parkour, climbing, eating, trash collecting, some slacklining, frisbee, eating and even a swim for some of the more adventurous. We're very proud to announce that we collected over 65 bags of trash, 4 wheels and a large iron bar. We definitely left the park in good shape and had a great day of jamming. It was great to see people from as far away as San Francicso, where Brett Robert and Raul Piscoya had a tie for "visitor from furthest". Jack Kendal definitely deserves a mention for his drive from Gainesville, FL. Overall we had no major injuries and no major incidents, the weather was hot and great and we jammed hard. Thanks to everyone who came out - see you all at the next jam! Be sure to check out our facebook page soon for photos. (B)EAST!!!!.....
